I was on the way back from the top of Mt. Lusen, Bavaria, at night when the fog started getting lucent. As the moon was already up its light came through and gave me this wonderful and creepy view.
Going up on Mt. Lusen at night is always a strange thing because there are Sagas about witches and the devil on this mountain.

I love the composition of this photo, i wonder what it would look like if it was just a tad lighter. It truly is an awesome picture

Intriguing winter scene. Has a somewhat dark mysterious mood. Nice work Martin.

I keep coming back to this... incredible image... seems so peaceful and tranquil all the while your body is screaming to run!

Location
It was on the descent of on my favourite mountains, which i hiked many timesTime
It was already night time. I hoped to get clear sight, instead clouds came up.Lighting
It was just about that moment when the moon was still shining through the fog, covering everything in diffuse light. So i got enough details for this shot without bumping up the ISO too muchEquipment
I used my Sony A7 II with a Samyang 50mm 1.4 on a tripodInspiration
The mysterious light which fell down through the trees. It was kind of a spooky momemtEditing
Yes, but just standard processing like bumping up the shadows and decreasing the lights. Adjusting the color and brightness to what my eyes saw in reality (at least i tried)In my camera bag
At the moment there is a Sony A7 III, a Sony 14mm 1.8, a Tamron 28-75 2.8 and a Tamron 70-300 in my bag. For the 14mm i have several filters and of course a tripodFeedback
The weather necessarily has not always to be good
