I could stare at this for hours - so much going on! A beautiful photograph. A true winner of a picture.

Location
This image was captured on the beach in Naples, Florida.Time
The photo was taken just before sunset when the golden rays of the sun were lighting up the sky.Lighting
I'm not afraid to shoot into the light. This large flock of birds interested me and I first shot them from a distance down the shoreline. I wanted something different and then got behind them and shot into the sun which resulted in the dramatic shadows and silhouettes.Equipment
Equipment was a Nikon D7000. Tokina 11-16mm lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by the scene. I wanted to catch the movement of the birds with the multicolored sky and dramatic lighting.Editing
I brought out the natural colors in the sky through Photoshop. In my camera bag
Currently I have a D800 and a Nikon 16-35mm for landscapes.Feedback
If you are shooting a sunset with movement, you need to make sure you have a pretty high speed setting on your camera. You should also meter for the sky and not over expose your shot. You might try bracketing your shot to make sure you have a keeper.
