Location
The photo was taken in North-Western Iceland in Sneafell peninsula.Time
It was a long sunset in a really windy day.Lighting
I wanted to give a dark atmosphere using the center soft light coming from behind the highest rocks.Equipment
I use a Sony a7RII with a 16/35 f4 za Sony, x64 Nisi soft and a 0.9 GND soft Nisi Filters on V5 Nisi Holder. Tiltalt tripod with a B2 Benro ball head.Inspiration
I often use inspiration from movie, fantasy books or tv series. This kind of picture reminds me fantasy world like the Iron Icelands of Game of Thrones.Editing
In all my images I use a personal workflow starting from Camera Raw and ending in Photoshop for detail processing and sharpening for web publishing. In my camera bag
I usually care with me a full frame camera (Sony a7RII with 3 main lens: 12/24 g, 24/105 G, 70/200 f4 G), a tripod, a remote control, head torch, cleaning stuff, sd power bank and batteries.Feedback
Take a high perspective view point and use filter for a long exposure. Be careful to not kill shadows details. Check the result on your screen or read your histogram before move your tripod.
