They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
Between stars—on stars where no human race is.
I have it in me so much nearer home
To scare myself with my own desert places.

Behind The Lens
Location
It was taken in an abandoned building. The building is part of the so called "city of officers". A huge area with many buildings which was used by the russian army after the second world war as a headquarter.Time
It was daytime so i had some light in the room.Lighting
The only source of light was a lovely window. The old and dirty glass just let a soft light into the room. So it was exciting to play with the light and the shadows.Equipment
I prefer working with less equipment and use the available conditions instead. So i just had my Fujifilm X-T2, my 35mm 1.2 lens and a tripod with me.Inspiration
Playing with lights and shadows is one of my favorite things about photography. I rarely work with nudity but if i do i focus on telling a story with it. It can be used in many ways to create emotional and touching stories. And dressing people with shadows is another thing i love about photography.Editing
I am really lazy when it comes to post-processing. So i try to avoid it with good planning and preparations. The post-processing was mainly the blackandwhite conversion in Lightroom along with some finetuning. In my camera bag
As i wrote before i prefer to work with less equipment. So most of the time i just have my camera and 2-3 lenses with me, depending on what i want to capture. If needed i bring a tripod along.Feedback
Working with nudity requires a good connection and a lot of trust between the photographer and the model. Before the shooting i spend some time to talk with the model so we both get to know each other. To make it easier at the shooting i prefer to discuss the ideas and possible images/poses before starting. At the shooting it's important to be respectful and create a comfortable atmosphere. Talk about what you want to do and avoid any physical contact like correcting the pose or the hair without asking.
