I was watching the large crowd that crossed the streets of the center of Padua, among thousands of subjects I saw this lady. I stopped her and I introduced myself saying that I noticed her in the crowd and as she distinguished herself from the rest of the people I wanted to photograph her. We talked a bit 'and i told her that she has a very particular style so she replied that she is 90 years old and I do not have to compliment her. I found this woman incredibly elegant, she wore these very large glasses, accessory mostly for young people but still they fit perfectly! I took her by the hand and bring her with me in the middle of the street to take photos. All the people who passed by turned around to find out who this lady was, "perhaps an actress or some public figure" they probably thought. She let herself be guided by me and did not ask to see the pictures I did. I thanked her for the time she dedicated to me, after which she continued along the way.

I took this picture during a break in Padova, I took a walk through the streets near the place where I was working and I was lucky to meet this very nice and elegant lady.Time
As you can see on the photo, the shadows are still quite "sharp" and it was very hot. If I remember correctly, I had just finished lunch, it was probably the first part of the afternoon. After that "I placed myself" in the middle of the road to photograph the people who passed by, I remember the faces that were not really happy to be photographed by a stranger in public! It was beautiful to stand still in the middle of the street looking at the expressions and listening to the comments of the people who saw me stay there for almost forty minutes : ) But it was worth it!Lighting
There are no particular things, the only thing I wanted to leave is the "warm" light of the background, where you can see the people and the chaos of the street. This is why the lady's color comes off even more from the mass.Equipment
This was my second camera Camera: Canon EOS 760D Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/400 Focal Length: 50/1Inspiration

Usually in "street photography", the photographer is an anonymous observer, even in this case it is always "street photography" only that the subject knows how to be photographed and is also posing, as if it were the studio photography. Here it is more a matter of ethical than technical, even if it is at the same time very "technical" as an approach. I speak of "Me" and of the technique of approach, of me as "performer", not of diaphragm setting and other parameters of the camera. I wanted to meet my subject, i wanted to discover something more and also have respect when I approach a person of this age in the middle of the street. I could also take the picture secretly, there would have been no problem, before she arrived I made it to another hundred passers-by, but with her I chose to "get out of comfort". It is often easier to stay in the shade, and not "disturb" people, but I think we must be honest with ourselves and do it only when really necessary, otherwise why not "risk" to take your shot to the next level?
