I love the Highland cattle. They look so cuddly. This photo is charming, not too mention that the aesthetics are good. The warm colors of the cow stand out well against the gray background.

Location
This is taken in a tiny village by Nærøyfjorden, Norway. We were out exploring, and decided to try a tiny tiny road leading into nowhere, and suddenly stumbled across this guy!Time
It was taken 11:39:25 exactly!Lighting
It was a beautifully lit, overcast day. Some weird cross between harsh and soft light, with the dark mountainsides behind and the wicked icy fjord from below. There was also a fresh cover of light snow all over. Great fun photographing in!Equipment
I had my trusted Nikon D750, with the Nikkor 70-200 2.8. This was taken at 200mm, 2.8, 1/800 250 ISO.Inspiration
I always stop when I see highlandcattle! They are awesome! And this one with it's rugged furry face, between the fjords and the mountains... it was perfect.Editing
If I remember correctly, I only used Lightroom for this one. Opened the shadows and blacks somewhat, added some contrast and clarity, and lowered saturation. In my camera bag
I always bring too much, but I generally also always use most of it at some point. But what I always bring, and use the most, is my D750, 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8, and 14-24 2.8. And I'm just insanely in love with my two Art lenses, 35 1.4 and 50 1.4.Feedback
Keep your eyes open, after I started looking for them, these cattle seem to pop up everywhere, often where least expected! And try out the weird short routes that seem to go nowhere in particular, you find all the good stuff when exploring!
