Nothing of note except for being thankful it wasn’t as dark and gloomy as similar days usually were.Equipment
Simply an iPhone 4 with the stock camera app. When I took this photo, it was all I had as I was 13 at the time.Inspiration
I’ve always appreciated how trees can frame a road but could never get the framing quite how I wanted it. Low and behold once we were up on a hill I realized I had the perfect opportunity to finally get it right! I don’t think I’ve ever taken my phone out for a photo as quickly as that to this very day.Editing
This photo was quite a long time ago, but due to my limited knowledge and technology limitations at the time, there was nothing done to the photo after the fact.In my camera bag
I typically only ever carry my phone with me for photos, however I was recently given a GoPro so I hope for that to open new avenues for me.Feedback
There’s two things I’d want to say to anyone wanting to get similar results. First is that the perfect opportunity for a shot can come at completely random, even if you’ve given up on it happening. This leads into my second piece of advice that it’s always important to have a camera with you so you don’t miss opportunities like this. People often underestimate the capabilities of phones’ cameras, but they are capable of truly amazing results, be it something older like an iPhone 4, or something more current; the best camera is the one you always have with you.
