Location
This was taken in Liverpool, looking towards the Liver Building and docks.Time
Take at about 10.30 in the morning during a walk of the 1st seven streets of Liverpool organised by my local photography club.Lighting
Quite cloudy but still reasonably bright but the cloud cover helped to diffuse the light.Equipment
Pentax K3 with 16-50 f2.8 lens at 22mm, hand held and no flash.Inspiration
I quite liked the composition and the way the road curved gently with the road markings leading your eye to the Liver Building in the background. Also there was some obviously different stonework that I thought would also show up well in mono.Editing
Yes I process first in DxO for camera & lens corrections, then I converted to mono in LR and accentuated the tonal range before finishing in PS CC with unsharp mask sharpening. In my camera bag
Pentax K3, Pentax 12-24, 16-50, 50-135, 50mm f1.8, sigma 70mm macro. Spare battery and memory cards. Also remote cable for tripod use, tripod and a monopod where a tripod is not suitable.Feedback
Get out there and walk around considering opportunities and compositions, leave your camera in the bag and only take it out if you think you have a shot, worth trying. I know from my own experience that if you keep your camera out, you will take shots just because you can without giving too much thought to what you are doing.
