Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo at Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire, England. My family went to visit it for the day. It is one of the largest and oldest monasteries in England and during the time on Henry 8th parts of it were taken and destroyed while he was trying to get rid of Catholicism.
Time
I look this photo in the afternoon in the summer right before it started raining.
Lighting
Since there is no roof all the natural light could come in and light up the archway even though it was a cloudy day.
Equipment
I used a Cannon Rebel.
Inspiration
I loved the architecture of the building and I loved how here you could look down the archway and see this fascinating structure which was still standing after hundreds of years and see everything that it has been through.
Editing
I have done no post-processing to it.
In my camera bag
I normally just have my Cannon with me as I was a tourist trying to photograph this amazing historical building and I was around 15-16 at the time so I did not have much equipment.
Feedback
Just to look at any unique features of a building and try and see which angles with lightening can capture what beauty you see best.
