I was just here the other day. Convenient that the closed freeway exits right near here! Fun Shot, good things can be made in the rain. Waiting for the leaves to come back.

Location
This photo was taken at a local park. I knew rain was coming so I packed up and headed right to the bridge. I had my camera backpack two cameras and an umbrella. It was a difficult shot trying to hold an umbrella and have a steady hand to take this photo. Couldn't get my camera wet.Time
This image was taken around 5 pm during a heavy downpour.Lighting
I used natural lighting. I love the way the canopy of trees hangs around the bridge and the mist of the rain in the distance.Equipment
This image was shot with a Canon 70d the lens was a canon 15 to 135mm .39m/1.3 ft. I did have a tripod put it was to hard to use while holding my umbrella trying with all my might not to ruin my camera. No flash no filters .Inspiration
This was actually a test for myself. I wanted to take a photo in the rain so as to see the droplets hit the ground. And this spot is beautiful rain or shine.Editing
I didn't have to do do any post processing. I couldn't believe it as I was just begining my photography career. I am proud to say I entered this image for competition and it merited through the PPA. Also it was my first time competing. I was blown away.In my camera bag
My canon 70 d hanging slingshot around my neck. Extra memory cards and batteries. Also a macro lens. I carry light cause I'm the kind of gal that will lie down in the mud or climb trees to get different perspectives of the landscape.Feedback
My advice would be just push yourself to try new things. As I said earlier I did this shot just practicing pushing myself to learn the speed to catch the water. Don't get down just keep doing it and practicing until your happy with yourself. I also donated this photo to the local nature center where the photo was taking. Always try to give back.
