Location
Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. The world's largest glass greenhouse in the world (Guinness Book of Records) and part of a complex in the Marian Bay area that includes a similar structure featuring an indoor cloud forest.Time
Cloudy day at around 11 amLighting
The lighting in the green house is all natural and this was a slightly overcast day so that the lighting was flat with no shadowsEquipment
Sony Nex F3 handheld with a 18-70mm lens F3.5-5.6 - NO FlashInspiration
The floral exhibit was in celebration of the Chinese New Year and full of thousands of yellow Chrysanthemums - the colors of yellow and purple are considered lucky flowers during Chinese New Year (They represent wealth, prosperity and longevity). This single Dahlia just stood out among all the Chrysanthemums because of its beautiful combination of colors and perfectly formed petals.Editing

i've migrated to a A6000 with Sony 18-55mm, 55-210 mm and a Rokinon 14mm lenses, limited number of filters such as Circular Polarizer, ND and basic flash. I use a monopod/tripod combination .Feedback
Lighting is what you need to focus on in order for the delicate detail to reveal itself . Take shots from many angles and if possible at different times of the day.
