The photo was captured in Benton Harbor, MI.Time
I pulled into the park just before sunset.Lighting
Seemed God had the taken care of that time of day.Equipment
Nikon D5000 with a Nikon DX SWM VR Aspherical .28m/0.92ft 52Inspiration
I was actually stealing away for a couple of days to decompress from the heaviness of some unexpected life situations unfolding around us; a family member fighting Stage 4 cancer and the loss our our first grandchild to miscarriage. My mind, body, & spirit needed a break. The water & time away would surely do this. The winds of western Michigan seemed to echo how I was feeling, I suppose. But in the midst of the photo, as well as, the lives of our family, peace remains at the very depth despite the storms that surround.Editing
I rarely shoot with my eyeglasses on; guess I just enjoy the excitement of treasure hunting for the true gems captured; so imagine my surprise when I was able to look at my photos with a more discerning eye. A simple click of 'Enhance' was all that was needed. In my camera bag
Nothing specific other than my D5000 and a standard & telephoto lens.Feedback
Seriously, once you have the basics of composition down, it's just intuition. Shoot for the joy, not the reward.
