Maybe could do with a bit of red eye reduction? Otherwise, great action shot!

That's actually the color of the lens that you see- no flash was used! Thanks!

Behind The Lens

Location

Lake Coeur d'Alene, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Time

At approximately 7:45am.

Lighting

The sun was just starting to crest and hadn't yet reached the swim course. Beautiful color!

Equipment

I believe this was my Canon 70D with my trusty 300L sporting a 1.5 extender. Hand held.

Inspiration

I am a volunteer staff photographer for IRONMAN when they come to town.

Editing

Just a little bit of a crop for balance and bumped up the contrast a bit.

In my camera bag

These days, it's my Canon 7D Mark III and my 70-200L zoom. I really don't like to bother with tripods so I rarely bring mine.

Feedback

Sometimes; it's just spray and pray! I tried to make sure the light was behind me, but wasn't always possible due to the areas I was allowed to access. This shot was taken standing in three foot deep water which was quite chilly!
