Behind The Lens

Location

This is Lilly! She is my third (and youngest) pug and has easily been the most photogenic of all three. She often goes to the kitchen table to sit on a chair like a human waiting for dinner. This time she put her head on the table - patiently waiting for dinner to come. Of course we don’t feed her at the table but one day after we had finished a turkey dinner, she hopped onto the table and ate all the gravy that was left in the gravy boat. I suspect she goes there to wait for the gravy to come again!

Time

This photo was taken in June in the late afternoon.

Lighting

The day was cloudy which was good. Normally it would of been too bright for this picture to work as I was facing west.

Equipment

This picture was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel XTi and the 55mm lens it came with.

Inspiration

It was one of those photos where I just grabbed the camera before she moved and took a few different shots.

Editing

Nothing fancy, I just cut and cropped a little and turned it to monochrome. When I saw it in black and white, I knew it was something special!

In my camera bag

Besides the Canon XTi and 55mm lens, I also have a Sigma 18-250mm zoom with macros, an assortment of filters and a decent tripod.
