Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on a walking trail in Winterland, Newfoundland, Canada

Time

I am extremely proud of this picture! It was taken after a couple of hours of shooting...around 4:30 pm.

Lighting

This day was absolutely gorgeous! The sun was perfect with just the right amount of cloud cover. The sun decided to peek through a break in the clouds lending a soft, gentle glow.

Equipment

My favorite camera - Sony SLT-A58 with Sony lense 18-55

Inspiration

We has finished up the photo shoot with this new couple...everyone was finally relaxing. The Bride's new niece wanted a moment with her new Auntie so she took her by the hand and started to walk down the trail. I turned to see the light sweeping down on the two of them so perfectly.

Editing

The only processing I did with this was turning it B&W

My main camera - Sony SLT A58, 18-55 mm lens, 75-300mm zoom, My secondary camera - Nikon 3000

Feedback

The biggest element of this picture is the emotion from the subjects...they were welcoming each other into their families...two families connected.
