Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot at home when my wife and son were lying on a duvet on the kitchen floor. It wasn't planned, he was lying there watching the world and my wife interacted with him and lay down and this on one of several shots I got of the two of them.

Time

It was taken in the early afternoon

Lighting

This was all natural light coming through our French windows

Equipment

This was shot on my phone, Sony Xperia Z3, the only thing I had to hand at the time

Inspiration

The interaction from our 5 month old son was wonderful and I was lucky enough to capture it at the time

Editing

I thought I had captured some lovely pictures but it was only when I changed it to black and white, that the shot made my heart melt

In my camera bag

I normally shoot with a Nikon D200

Feedback

I have always been told that natural light is the best...sometimes not thinking about a shot too much also helps, or you can over complicate it...I am no pro, I am just glad I was in the right place at the right time to capture this forever
