It was a cloudy morning at Lake Louise. But the clouds was starting to clear up when the sun rising. Lights breaking through some of the clouds and giving some great lights onto the clouds. The lights was changing very quickly over time and have to catch it while you still can!!Equipment
Canon 6D with Samyang 14mm f/2.8 on tripod, no flashInspiration
Lake Louise is a famous location at the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park. I was very excited as I arrived at the lake with some clouds / foggy conditions. I was trying to find some great foreground for my frame and finally settled with this yellow flower to join me in the frame!Editing
The single show I took at first didn't capture the details of the clouds. So I did a 3 exposures bracket and the final image was blended in Photoshop using digital blending. In my camera bag
Canon EOS 6D, T3i, EF 24-105mm f/4L, EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, EF 200mm f/2.8L, Samyang 8mm f/3.5, Samyang 14mm f/2.8, Circular Polarizer, ND filter (both 77mm). Interval Timers, 2 x Tripods, And sometimes a Motion Dolly for taking time lapse photosFeedback
To most landscape shooter, waiting for the right lights are usually one of the most important thing. But foggy / misty weather usually can extend the time to a longer period after sunrise. And the weather can be changing a lot over a short period of time. "Be patient" is a very important to take good landscape photography
