Behind The Lens

Location

Glacier National Park, Montana

Time

Late afternoon.

Lighting

It was late in the afternoon and the sun had just started to move behind the waterfalls.

Equipment

Canon EOS 60D.

Inspiration

This was early summer in Glacier National Park. It is an absolutely magical time of year there. The snowpack is melting off and the waterfalls are filled to the brim with ice cold water.

Editing

I played with the light so the background wouldn't overpower the waterfalls.

In my camera bag

Canon EOS 60D and Canon Mark III. I also carry a 70-300mm lens and a 17-40 mm lens in my bag.

Feedback

Play with the lighting in situations like this. Take a few shots from different positions and don't be afraid to play with your exposure compensation and IOS settings.
