I'd like to thank everyone for your comments and I have to admit this was totally unexpected. I captured this image using an old Minolta 70-300 beercan lens and thought it was buried inside Viewbug. I'm very pleased also knowing that images can resurface. ;-)

Location
I took this photo at a local zoo in Bangkok, Thailand. To be honest I don't like zoos and went there simply try out a lens!Time
It was captured during the heat of the afternoon. The place was unusually quiet so we found it easy to walk around!Lighting
I only had to worry about over exposure as it was bright sunshine. I like to shoot during the golden hours as the sun is very harsh here in Thailand but as the chimpanzee was in the shade the lighting was good!Equipment
I used my Sony A77 and an old Minolta 70-300 Beer-can Lens. Considering this is an old lens it performed exceptionally good! No lens, no tripod, just simply hand-held. The chimpanzee was a fair distance away and I had to shoot through a wire mesh! As we were close to the mesh I could easily capture an image of the chimpanzee without it affecting the shot!Inspiration
I love nature, especially animals and thought it would be a cool shot taking a portrait of a chimpanzee! After all, she is cute! I find their expressions very human like, and they have amazing personalities! I wanted to take a different kind of portrait!Editing
I post processed this image in LightRoom 4 and PhotomatixPro to add a little more dynamic range and colour. Not too much to loose the natural look of the image. In my camera bag
My equipment now consists of: Sony A7R II, Voigtlander 15mm MKIII, Sony Zeiss FE 35mm 2.8, Sony Zeiss FE 55mm, Sony 90mm G Macro, Flash, Manfrotto Tripod, and filters (ND8, ND 30, ND 1000 and CP)Feedback
To capture shots of animals you need plenty of patience! Relax, sit down and wait! Also try to anticipate what the animal is going to do next animals as they are easily distracted! You need a good steady hand, especially with a telephoto lens should you forget your tripod. Lastly, always focus on the eyes as with any subject!
