Location
The photo was taken from the shores of Chanonary Point , Fortrross , Moray Firth in the Highlands of Scotland.Time
I leave the house sharp (about 7am)when I am heading for "CP" I can be at the point for several hours waiting for the Dolphins to come. Obviously there is no set time for this as they are wild,it depends on tide times and if there are any shoals of fish near by.Lighting
Rain or shine, it doesn't matter to the Dolphins, if there are fish they will come to the point. This makes it tricky to photograph if it is a dull damp day.Equipment
I use my Nikon D7100 and a monopod. I use an 18-55 lens at the shore as the Dolphins are about 4 foot from us!Inspiration
I love wildlife and to have such beautiful graceful creatures on my doorstep, well, who can resist photographing them!Editing
I don't really change my photos much, just a little sharpness if needed. In my camera bag
I carry my macro lenses, 18-55 & 70-300 lens. Tripod & monopod in my bag. Pretty minimal but this is all I need.Feedback
Being the north of Scotland, you can imagine the weather changes very quickly! Knowing your settings helps! Photographing wild Dolphins catching wild Salmon & Sea trout needs a lot of patience!
