It was a serene morning on Inle Lake, a morning where the lake, mountains, and sky seemed to merge into one. I silhouetted one of Inle Lake’s famous leg rowers off in the distance. Inle Lake is located in the Taunggyi District of Shan State, part of Shan Hills in Myanmar (Burma) and sits at an altitude of of 2,900 feet (880 m). It is home to the Intha people as well as other tribes who are known for the distinct technique of leg rowing relieving and freeing arms for fishing and other tasks.
