Location
I took this at the Gruene River Grill in New Braunfels Texas. Such a beautiful place.Time
This was taken inside and I did not use a flash because I love the natural ambience of the lighting. but with a broken arm and this being my only second wedding shoot I did do some processing to create this shot.Lighting
It was dark and I did not use a flash or lighting. But I processed this through photo shop and Mystical Suite. I added the sun rays through the window to give it that ethereal feel. The mirror with her reflection also just happened to be there and that was such a big plus.Equipment
I used my Nikon D3, 50 mm lens due to the lighting difficutlties. No tripod, no flash, just handheld!Inspiration
This was a very good friend of mines daughter. She had asked me months before the wedding to take the photos, but a month before the wedding I broke my wrist. So I told her to have a back up photographer in case my shots did not come out. Well I have to say with having a broken wrist I did ok. I think taking wedding photos are awesome, the feel, the moment, the emotions. It is one of my favorite things to do!Editing
I use CS5 to brighten the shot, and than put it through Mystical Suite for the sun rays through the window. In my camera bag
I always carry my 70-200 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm, and 24 to 120 mm. My DSLR is a Nikon D3.Feedback
Always be aware of what is going on, be creative, love what you do. Most important remember this are cherished memories you are capturing forever!
