I wish I could see the rest of the reflection, but this is still one of the best swan photos I've seen in a while.

Location
I took this photo at a Fowl park in my home town of Regina Saskatchewan. Its my favorite place to go and relax and practice taking shots.Time
I took this image about mid afternoon on a Sunday around 2:30. It was a fairly clear day, so the blue of the sky was quite nice on the water.Lighting
The Day was so clear and bright, that there wasn't really anything special to do with lighting. I kept the shutter speed a tad higher with a higher ISO and it really turned out to be the perfect day for a perfect shot.Equipment
This Image was shot using my Canon T3I, and my Sigma 18-200. The settings I used were F8 at 1/400sec, and ISO 200. The day was very bright so I didn't use my flash, or require a tripod.Inspiration
What inspired me to take this was photo, is I had always seen the Swan rides on cartoons going through the tunnel of love with their wings opened beautifully. I kept seeing the Swans at the foul park doing that exact pose and just waited for the right moment.Editing
I did do some post processing, because I mainly shoot in RAW format. Using lightroom 5, I added some clarity, and contrast to bring out the detail in her feathers. I also increased the saturation of the blue so it was more vivid on the surface of the water. I also increased the saturation a touch for the colors on her beak.In my camera bag
The equipment I usually carry in my bag, is my Canon 70D, canon 24-105L, Sigma 18-250, Tripod and 430EX II speed light. I also have a Sigma 70-300 macro lens, and the good old Nifty Fifty f1.8.Feedback
My Advice for capturing a similar image is just pure patience, and a little bit of encouragement with some seeds or some bread. The weather can change so drastically here as well. It can be clear and beautiful one minute and the next its overcast and raining. Mainly I think its all just patience.
