Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken back in 2012, at de Motocress Race Track in Branesti, Timis, Romania.

Time

It was a hot day of September 8, 2012 and this photo was taken around midle of the day. It was 32 Celsius outside and the only clouds you could see were the dast clouds all over the track.

Lighting

It was a harsh light, with the sun up in the sky and with all the dust around I thought it is a good opportunity to take some Paris-Dakar like photos. I think I managed it, because later on some of my friends, when they saw the photos they asked me if I was present at a Dakar event.

Equipment

As I remember, at that time I had a Nikon D90 and the lens used was Nikkor 50-200 mm.

Inspiration

I was always into racing and the obvious choice for me when I start with the photography it was racing photography.

Editing

As postprocessing I made some adjuspments on the shadows and the I gave it a HDR effect.

In my camera bag

Now days I have a Nikon D7100 and the most used lenses are Tamron 70-300.

Feedback

Don't be afraid of the harsh light. :)
