Location
This photograph was taken at the Southport Airshow, where planes where flying out off and across the line of the sun, alowing for this captureTime
taken around mid afternoon with clear skyes and the sun blazing.Lighting
Silhouettes is something I am still getting to grips with, and enjoying practicing with different light conditions.Equipment
My trusy Nickon D750 along with my old but still great Sigma 150 - 600, I don't really use a tripod as I find it easier to flow with the motion hand holding.Inspiration
whilst taking shots of the red arrows doing their display I accidently followed one as it wen accross the sun, and realised thiat it would make a great silhouette so waited for the next plane to hit the same spot, giving the shot you see.Editing
Ther are some Lightroom tweeks, a little cropping, and a little dehazing, the picture could have been darkened further but that affected the Blue / Grey tomes in the background making it almost monochromeIn my camera bag
I do have other lensed, which I occasionally use, a Nikon 28 - 300, Sigma macro lens, Nikon 55 - 300Feedback
Practice, if it's not quite what you expect try again, and again, and again...... The shots may not be what your looking for but each one teaches how that lighting scenario turns out.
