You have given 2020 a positive swing that is really (nice) positive, a contribution to the Year 2020 Collection. As always, the competition will be tough, which, as an added consequence, makes a possible victory taste very sweet. Good luck and probably for the … time: Happy New Year and stay healthy in 2021!

I enjoy making photos at my dacha as I really love natural light and amazing textures that my country house can give me as a photographer. So this capture I did here, at my dacha.Time
Because of rather large piece of ground I had the possibility to take photos all day long, travelling after sun light. Somewhere right after the afternoon I decided to shoot Chinese porcelain. I tried different combinations of shapes, textures and backgrounds. And I found out that old rough wooden fence was perfect for that composition. Especially that a liana of wild buchwheat had already grown there and had created a wonderful eddition to my idea. First I made captures without a flower but then I saw pink clover under my feet. The same pink color as flowers drawn on my little vase. I put that clover into the vase and a young yellow bumblelebee made the whole composition perfect and completed.Lighting
The day was rather windy and cloudy. So it was some kind of a challenge to capture right light. I was caughting sunlignt under 45 degrees behind me. Such light underlined original shine of porcelain and rough design of wood.Equipment
I shot off my hands (without any tripod) with my favorite camera Sony Alpha 7 with kit lens 24-70Inspiration
Chinese porcelain has a deep 1000 year tradition and history. Thanks to it Chinese masters can create such perfect shapes and quality (especially in miniatures) that you just want to put it somewhere where you can look at it and admire. It is my small dream to create perfect capture using natural beautyEditing
I did general post-processing in Affinity Photo with curves and different filters (mist removal, contrast, brightness & sharpness) to hightlight natural colorsIn my camera bag
I always put in my photo-bag: the camera Sony Alpha 7 with kit lens, additional lens Sony 55-210 and standard CPL and UF filters + robust tripodFeedback
Search for the right light that can hightlight textures, shapes and colors. Usually outdoors it is the time between 6 and 10 a.m. when there is still dew on leaves and flowers. At this time the light is very soft and drawing. Also I would recommend to experiment with different textures, may be with opposite qualities (e.g. substle and rough). Look for textures that can highlight the main idea of an image. Look for such position of items that create perfect proportion (e.g. rule of third). And of course try different point of shooting to find the best one.
