On our first Croatia tour we with my wife visited the Plitvice Lakes National Park under UNESCO protection. Most part of this park were natural mountain lakes, rivers and waterfalls. It was a virgin nature park where any human intervention was strictly forbidden. We had been forced to move from the cost in an other part of Croatia into the heart of the country for eight hours. But this place was worth it! The Park was amazing! The only problem were crouds of tourists from all over the world on narrow paths along cliffs. For me it is still a secret how did it happen that nobody has fallen down the rock!Time
We reached Plitvice Lakes only to the 12 a.m. that seriously effected a photo shooting. The sun was very sharp, and it was extremely hot (over 40 degrees centigrage) and very muddy. We almost ran after our tour guide by narrow paths tacking in the crouds of tourists and trying to capture interesting scenes. It was extreme speed photo shooting. First I was admired with terraced lakes flowing one into an other. Then I saw that composition. The upper lake had somekind of a natural right angle with a green bush on it. The leaves on that bush were moving as if they told me "shoot me". Surprisingly everyone passed by that view! And I took it ))Lighting
As I have told before the sun was blinding almost from all the angels. It was everywhere, even on forest lakes and streems. So it was really tricky to capture right view in the right light.Equipment
At that time I used common Sony Cyber-shot Camera with 20xOptical Zoom. And of course all the shooting was off my hands without any additional equipment.Inspiration
It's very easy )). The Nature itself inspired me with its magic landscapes, colors and shapes.Editing
I did general post-processing in Affinity Photo with curves and different filters (mist removal, contrast, brightness & sharpness) to hightlight natural colorsIn my camera bag
Nowadays I always put in my photo-bag: the camera Sony Alpha 7 with kit lens, additional lens Sony 55-210 and standard CPL and UF filters + robust tripodFeedback
To help yourself make small research in advance to find the best places and the best time for shooting landscapes. Try to arrange your photo shooting in the morning or in the evening when the light is the most soft. And better use tripod ))
