Love the simple concept of this image. The light and framing is beautiful. Nice work Travis.

Location
I wish I had something more extravagant to say but I simply captured this image in my very own backyard!Time
It was early evening, around 8:30 pm on May 13, 2018. The sun was getting pretty low in the sky already when I began setting up.Lighting
This image was captured using a single off camera flash unit and a shoot through umbrella.Equipment
I used a Canon 20D on a tripod with a Sigma 10-20mm wide-angle lens. Lighting setup was with a single Speedlight on a stand with a shoot-through umbrella.Inspiration
It was Mother's Day 2018, my boys and I had gifted the bicycle to my wife earlier in the day. After a long day of visiting relatives, I decided on a whim to try out some new lighting gear that I had recently acquired. So I asked myself "why not use this shiny new bike as the main subject?"Editing
Yes, post processing is a must, but in this particular instance there wasn't much to do. Just a few tweaks to exposure, colour balance and crop was all that I found to be necessary. I applied some sharpening and detail work to enhance the tire treads and blades of grass. In my camera bag
My gig bag currently consists of nothing fancy. Two camera bodies: a Canon 5D and a Canon 20D. Four lenses: Sigma 10-20mm EFS, Canon 18-55mm EFS kit lens, Canon 50mm prime 1.8 EF, and a Canon 55-200mm EF. Polarizer, ND and Graduated ND filters. Two speed lights. Two umbrellas. Two light stands. A tripod and Gorillapod. Reflectors. Wireless shutter releases and light triggers. Gary Fong Lightsphere. Rechargeable 2800mAh AA and 1100mAh AAA batteries.Feedback
All I can advise is to always try new things! If you're passionate about the work, then amazing things will happen. It's important to be super critical about your own work. Be ruthless, ask questions, and most importantly, be patient!
