Location
This image was shot in Flatrock - Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. This is part of Newfoundland's East Coast Hiking Trail system (Stiles Cove Path). It's a very beautiful area, consisting of this waterfall and forest area. Directly behind me (in this shot) lies the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. It's a great combination and a feast for the eyes and soul.Time
I'm an early morning person and this shot was taken just after sun up. A very big portion of my images are shot early morning, some late evening prior to sunset. This Falls can be very challenging during daytime as the sun would be shining directly in your face, Even on a partly cloudy and overcast day the lighting can be difficult. I found early morning with a little sun works the best as it's your natural lighting and brightens the Falls.Lighting

My camera is a Canon 70D, I used a Tamron 18-200 mm lens, neutral density 10 stop filter, tripod and remote shutter release.Inspiration
I love shooting long exposure photography, especially waterfalls. This is a beautiful waterfall and I wanted to put my signature and style to it.Editing
I do post editing in Lightroom 6. The amount of editing for me, depends on the image. I like monochrome for water shots. However for this one, I thought the pop of colour the vegetation looked really nice. Any other colour (mostly the shy blue) was removed. In my camera bag
I carry what I'll call the normal gear. My camera of course, 18-200 mm, 70-300mm & a 1.8 80mm prime lens, remote shutter release, cleaner and cleaning clothes, spare memory card, spare battery and my off camera flash and fresh batteries.Feedback
Ensure you take all of the necessary equipment/gear with you. Take note of the forecast and plan with it or around it. Scope out the area for the best vantage points and lighting before shooting. Be patient, sometimes creating a nice image takes time and maybe even more than one shot.
