Location
I took this picture from the west side of the Circular Quay. This is the location where normally the cruise ships dock. On this particular evening no ship was docked.Time
It was a slightly overcast evening and the moon was full. Every now and then it was peeking through the clouds, but since there was not a lot of wind, I was able to get it, even though I was using a long exposure in order to get a more silky texture of the water. There are always a lot of ferries crossing through the harbor, so the timing of this shot was not very easy, but managed to get it the way I wanted it.ILighting
I was looking to capture the dramatic light effects and with a lot of patience I was able to do so. No post processing, other than raising the clarity, was done, so what you see is what I saw. On occasions like this, carry a tripod and be patient.Equipment
Sony A7RII with Sony/Carl Zeiss, Vario-Tessar 24-70 f/4.0. Rollei Carbon fibre travel tripod.Inspiration
The Opera House is Sydneys most iconic landmark and it speaks to my imagination both by day and by night. Inside and outside it is an architectural miracle.Editing
