Behind The Lens

Location

Metz, France

Time

Afternoon

Lighting

It is very dark inside the cathedral but some light comes in from the left

Equipment

Sony 7ARII with the Zeiss 16-35 mm f/4.0, handheld

Inspiration

I like interiors in general but cathedrals have an extra attraction because of the sheer size, open space and hight

Editing

I shoot in RAW so I use Lightroom to adjust the shadows and contrast

In my camera bag

Sony A7RII Sony G 12-14 f/4.0 Zeiss 16-35 f/4.0 Zeiss 24-70 f/4.0 Sony G 70-200 f/4.0

Feedback

Make sure to hold the camera firmly against your body ... do not use the screen ... inhale and press the button ... 1/15th is than quite possible. This allows for relatively low ISO and small aperture. Churches usually don't allow tripods.
