Location
This photos was taken at the Mount Annan Botanical Gardens, just outside Sydney AustraliaTime
It was taken late morning- not the best time of day, but the lighting was pretty good at the timeLighting
I wanted a reflection of the outer, paper like petals, so the sun shining off them worked wellEquipment
I used my Canon EOS 450D with a 60mm macro lens at f/2.8 with ISO 100. I didnt have my tripod with me but due to the good light I was able to use 1/1250 exposure so didnt get any movementInspiration
I love macro, trying to get as close and as much detail as possible. Ive visited the gardens a few times and there is always plenty of inspiration!Editing
I tend to not do too much post-processing. With this one, I adjusted the highlights and shadows a little, plus a few tweaks with the colour and that was it!In my camera bag
I usually carry my full size tripod, plus a small portable one. I have my 18-55mm lens, macro lens and 10-18mm landscape lens. I have a polarising filter for my landscape lens. Ive only been into photography for a bit over a year, so am gradually increasing my equipment. I have just purchased a Canon 80D which is getting a lot of use!Feedback
