Location
This photo was taken in Olney, IL. It's a great little ice cream shop and has lots of neon signs and great colors.Time
This was taken around 9:00 pm or so. I went out one night with the intent of capturing some night shots from around town. This was probably the best of that night.Lighting
No extra lighting, just a long shutter time (with a cable release).Equipment
Nikon D300s, tripod, 18-140 VR lens, and a cable release.Inspiration
I just really wanted to get some night shots in and I went around town for around an hour taking pictures of different things around town.Editing
I used Adobe Lightroom and tweaked it just a little (I think it was the exposure and saturation settings). That's it.In my camera bag
Everything I can possibly fit in!Feedback
A tripod is a necessity. Can't do it without that. I also use a cable release so I don't have to touch the camera (to reduce vibration) and so I can control the shutter speeds. I have some shots, like with stars, where I keep the shutter open for very long periods of time and most cameras won't allow you to do that without a cable release.
