shame about the leaf or branch or twig on the very front left as it just draws your eye away and is annoying when you see it as you cant then not! wonderful focus on the subject is there a way of cloning out the twig thing or even a lil more crop and a clone to help the picture a little more? very good image tho.

Location
I took this photo of my girlfriend and photography partner, Misty Teller, at Seven Lakes Nature Center in Holly, MI. She's always willing to pose for me as we try out new locations. It's nice when test shots like these turn out so well.Time
This was in the late afternoon on a sunny day, so of course I looked for areas with shade and found this neat little spot, which we have used for other photoshoots as well.Lighting
I love backlit photos with a shallow depth of fiield, so I used the natural light of the sun behind the model as the only light source.Equipment
This was the first shoot I used my Canon 6D with. It's an amazing camera. No tripod or flashes were used. I shot this while lying on the ground with my Sigma 70-200 Lens.Inspiration
The environment and Misty's dress were the main inspiration here. The setting reminded me a bit of Alice in Wonderland and her dress was flowy, so I just asked her to start dancing.Editing
I changed the colors of the leaves to pink, added a small light leak, where the sun is.. I also added a bit of a matte layer with levels and added some blues to the shadowsIn my camera bag
I need a bigger bag! I have a backpack which fits three lenses. Then I carry 4 flashes and spare batteries and such in a plastic bag. It doesn't look very professional, but hey, it works.Feedback
Take a friend with you to a new location and do a photoshoot. You may be more willing to experiment without the pressure of trying to please a new client. Some of my best images are of my girlfriend, because she goes along with any crazy idea I may have during a photoshoot!
