Behind The Lens

Location

This was taking outside in my backyard.

Time

Because I was using water and didn't want to get the football player sick, we did the shoot during the day. It was a nice warm day and he had a great time getting wet.

Lighting

I had a 2 light setup. My key light was an Alienbee 1600. I also had a speedlite on his about 45 degress behind him to get the water to show. Here is a link to a BTS video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3wfAqzTvX8

Equipment

This didn't require a lot of special equipment. The only thing I had to make was a "rain maker" which was PVC pipe and some sprinkler heads from home depot. Canon 7d AlienBee 1600 Canon Speedlite Black seemless paper background

Inspiration

Von Wong!

Editing

I use Lightroom to process. I increased the contrast and lowered the blacks.

In my camera bag

Camera, 50mm, 70-200mm, speedlites, pocketwizards

Feedback

I want to do something like this again. The only thing I would change would be the background. The paper background almost fell a few times. Even with using sandbags. I'd use a heavier fabric.
