In 1892, a railroad depot graced a burgeoning village now known as Pearland, TX. My brother and sister-in-law live there; they have two daughters. Each year, my step-son and his cousins get together for photo shoot. My sister-in-law is the office manager at a photography studio and, each year, gives family members an 8 x 8 collage of nine or ten photos. 2014's shoot (and 2015's) was at the renovated depot in what is now called the Old Townsite area. They bring a bit of equipment and I stay out of the way to take surreptitious photos, as I'm rather fond of them compared to a forced, "Look here! Smile!" photo. It was a cold, windy, drizzle-y day on the trestle. She was cold, her lips getting more red by the second (I wish I'd brought lip balm), and we were headed back to our respective cars with the heat on "High."
