I think there's not really all that much in nature that's truly brown, but you're finding it! Voted Brown

Location
I consider my self lucky in the fact that I live in an area that is not too developed. I have the bay a couple miles away and also an unusual state park at the end of my road. I have a fairly large wooded area across the street from my home. this particular image was captured there. Only a short walk and I am in the realm of nature's ultimate beauty. I am in those woods everyday, always looking for subjects to photograph.Time
It was around 7 o'clock morning.Lighting
The sun was still low and behind a small hill about 75 feet behind my subject. It was still a low light level so I had to bump my ISO to 400. I will usually shoot at 400 or 800 as the light rarely gives me enough for a quick shutter speed. Even with the higher ISO, I had to lay on the ground to help steady my camera to get a decent capture without camera shake. The speed was 1/10 and with no tripod handy, laying on the ground was my only option.Equipment
I had my Sony a65 and my go to Tamron f2.8 90mm macro lens.Inspiration
I was walking in the woods with my two dogs Rose and Billy, which we do every morning. We decided to take another trail and I saw this mossy knoll with several mushrooms growing through the moss. I stopped to view the scene because of the deep green color of the moss and the contrasting color of the mushrooms that were glistening water droplets from an evening thunder storm. I had to go back for my camera and return for some photos.Editing
I upload my RAW images to Adobe Lr. For this particular image, I did not have to do any adjusting to speak of other than reducing the size in order to upload to my gallery. In my camera bag
My Sony is there along with my Tamron 90mm f2.8, Quantaray 28-90mm f3.5, Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6, and Minolta 50mm f1,7 lens. I carry a cable and remote shutter release, also a Minolta 5400 HS flash. I also have my cleaning equipment to try to keep dust and debris off my lens.Feedback
I am always looking and watching in my walks, as you never know what interesting and unique subject you may come up on. I also think of what I should be or could be capturing as I'm walking or driving. I enjoy capturing my images in different and unique perspectives. I am not satisfied taking the usual prescribed photos that are the norm. I look for unusual perspectives, exposures, lighting and such. I am not happy unless I can make my subject stand out in a unique way rather than blend in to the norm. If I have to lay on the ground and get wet or dirty then so be it. I just hope I will never have to stand on my head for that special shot, but if it is that different, I just may.
