Behind The Lens

Location

This image was made on the southwestern side of Coronado Heights park near Lindsborg, Ks.

Time

Sunset

Lighting

This was a tricky shot, because I had to try and balance getting some nice sunset colors and getting some degree of foreground detail. This is a single image, not an hdr stack.

Equipment

Canon T3i Rebel, with an 8mm Robinson f3.5 Fisheye lens.

Inspiration

I loved the way the Rye stalk was curving and picking up the sunlight so I want to see if I could align it with the sun itself.

Editing

Post processing involved dropping highlights and raising shadows to balance the image mostly with a few color adjustments to correct white balance.

In my camera bag

Vintage lenses, my fisheye and my Canon. Simple stuff.
