This photo was taken in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.Time
This was taken around 6am 04 August 2010 while my family and I were driving around Yellowstone National Park. The Buffalo came out of the mist and headed directly toward our car. I took this photo through the windshield of my car as I did not want to get out of my car and make him mad! He was bigger then our car! We had stopped our car, made sure all the windows were closed and hoped he would pass our and not try and ram our car!! He pasted our car within inches!Lighting
No - The misty morning was brought in my nature along with the light.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL XSi with a polarizing filter - no other equipment was involved.Inspiration
It was an impulse photo brought on my the very larger Buffalo emerging out of the mist.Editing
I used Photoshop to correct the contract and color saturation. In my camera bag
I currently own an Olympus OM-D E-M10II which is the first thing I pack along with five (5) Olympus Lens (Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm 1:3.5-5.6 II R; Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 40-150mm 1:4-5.6; Olympus M.Zuiko 75-300mm 1:4.8-6.7; Olympus 60mm 1:2.8 Macro; Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 9-18mm 1:4-5.6). I also pack a Promaster Cross Screen Filter that I love and two (2) lens balls that I love taking photo's through. I love my Olympus - it is smaller then most camera's and fits my hands better (as well as taking amazing photo's!). My hands are on the small side and the other camera's tend to feel bulky and uncomfortable. I also carry extra batteries at all times!!Feedback
There really is no advise I can give anyone other then hanging out in Yellowstone National Park in the early morning hours and hope for a misty morning and roaming Buffalo's.
