Location
The photo itself was taken in my dining room in my home in Liverpool, push the dining table to the end of the room and knocked together a makeshift studio!Time
It was taken during the day, the light wasn't really an issue as I was using speed lights to create any light I neededLighting
It was a simple lighting setup with a Nikon SB910 speedlight on manual setting, with a small portable soft box on a stand positioned just above my sonEquipment
Nikon D7100, Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR2, Nikon sb 910 and he lighting equipment mentioned alreadyInspiration
I do a lot of mountaineering and hiking, in relation to this I read a lot of magazines about this subject. I love the advertisements for brands like the north face etc, so sort of decided to create my own, I dragged my son down of his Xbox and stuck his North Face Parker on him, he wasn't to happy but that's what I wanted, I wanted him to look like a cocky teenager who sort of thinks he could take on anything.Editing
I process all my RAW files in Adobe Lightroom, add a little sharpness etc, I try not to go to crazy. In my camera bag
I have a few bits, my D7100, a range of Nikon glass (nothing to expensive apart from my 70-200vr2), I have Nikon SB910 speedlights, a range of Colkin filters, and my tripodFeedback
Most of my photography is experimental as I am self taught so, my advice is just get your gear out and take photos!
