Awesome macro. Loved the way you have captured drops of waters on the fly's eye.

Location
I took this photo at Messingham Sands Quarry Nature Reserve in ScunthorpeTime
This photo was taken around 3 - 4pm in the afternoon.Lighting
I used a simple ring flash to take this pictureEquipment
I used a canon 5d MKII with Tamron 90mm 1:1 f2.8 macro lens with no tripodInspiration
I had just started out taking macro photography so I was interested in taking anything to have a close look at detail found in all creatures. This just so happen to be sitting on a leaf after it had rained so I attempted to take its photo.Editing
Only thing that I did was adjust the levels and made the shadows darker to give it a true black and added a slight bit more sharpness in camera raw other wise it is how it was taken. In my camera bag
Canon 5d MKII and Sony a7II, I have sigma 85mm f1.4, sony 70 - 400mm f4, tamron 90mm f2.8 macro, sigma 17 - 35mm f2.8, sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens, and both kits lenses for both cameras.Feedback
The main thing is to have patience, I can take a long while for you to get the correct shot to give the eyes the correct sharpness.
