Location
The moment was captured in Masai Mara on the last day of a 10 days trip. Like every day, we woke up at 4.30, got ready and were inside the Mara just as sun was breaking over the horizon. William our Masai guide led us to this wooded area where they had last heard of a leopard. After some driving around we located the mama leopard. Then to our surprise, we saw a pair of small ears poking out of what looked like a small mound with a hole. The baby would intermittently show its face, see the 4X4 and duck right back in. The constant arrival of jeeps did not help. We kept waiting and our team was getting restless. Then after almost 3.5 hrs the baby got used to us hanging around and emerged from the hole and started playing with her mama.Time
The first partial sighting was early morning and then, I think it was around 10ish when the baby emerged.Lighting

I used my Canon 7D with Tamron 150-600, one a bean bag perched on the open roof of the 4X4Inspiration

Since i captured the image in raw, I did the standard post processing stepsIn my camera bag

Patience, extra long telephoto lens, bean bags, high shutter speed (animals are very unpredictable), try and get a low perspective, shoot from the floor of the 4X4, at no time step out of the vehicle.
