Behind The Lens

Location

Nature park Zumberak, Croatia. It was a lovely day in the mountains when the clouds rolled in with strong winds and thick fog/clouds. Before I left, I turned around and captured this view of the church disappear into a cloud.

Time

Early afternoon, the change of weather was quick and unexpected.

Lighting

The light transformed from sunny to deep fog very fast. There was very little time to get this photo, after a minute you could not see the church anymore.

Equipment

CANON EOS 50D, EF 100L, handheld.

Inspiration

The rolling clouds were coming over the mountain very fast and the scene was quite impressive. The light was changing rapidly and it was quite special.

Editing

Turned into B/W, levels and contrast, sharpening.

In my camera bag

Camera body, 10-18, 50, 100, 150-600, monopod, cleaning kit.

Feedback

The key was in the weather. Keep your camera close and be ready. Nice weather is usually not the best, go out in bad weather, too. Stay safe.
