Location
This photo was taken outside my parents home in Queensland. This frill neck lizard had made its home in the bush in the front yard and had come out to sun itself. It wasn’t perturbed by me getting ever closer with my camera, except I must have inched that fraction too close for its comfort, hence the frill being semi displayed along with its mouth opening.Time
This photo was taken around mid morning as the warmth of the sun was what enticed this lizard out, so he could get going for the day.Lighting
There was nothing special about the lighting, it was a normal Queensland sunny day.Equipment
The only camera I had available to me on this day was my handy Olympus TG 4Inspiration
This lizard gave me the perfect opportunity to take close up animal shots in its own natural habitat. At the time I was new to photography and was developing the varying aspects relating to my new hobby. It makes you realise how important having a camera at the ready can be.Editing
No post processing was done.In my camera bag
I always carry an Olympus OM-D-EM 1 MK II. I have a 12-100mm Olympus m.Zuiko IS PRO and a Panasonic Leica 100-400mm lens. I also carry an Olympus TG5.Feedback
Have your camera always at the ready for opportunistic moments that come your way.
