Ever since I had seen a shot of Tre Cime from this angle I've wanted one for my own. I realize it isn't the most original angle, as this photo seems to be uploaded every day in some form or fashion, but I feel pretty happy with it's uniqueness all things considered.
This photo was pretty tough to make all the way through. I knew what I wanted in the shot but I didn't get to Tre Cime until it was already dark and so I couldn't figure out where I needed to be to get the shot I was going for and ended up not being particularly happy with the composition. Then, for what feels like the millionth time, I way underexposed the photo, making the foreground and the sky extremely grainy after bringing back details in post. In order to compensate I did some extra photoshopping to give it the dreamscape look using a couple different blur effects. It's the first time I've ever tried this technique, but I must say I'm pretty happy with how the processing turned out. If only I had gotten a better image in the field...
