Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Northern California, its the Point Arena Lighthouse north of San Francisco

Time

It was a wonderful fall morning in October, slightly warm but still rain was soon to come.

Lighting

The sun came from the side through the clouds and added a specific dramatic extra to the picture

Equipment

The shot was taken with a Canon EOS 550D and a 75-200mm lens. No other equipment was involved.

Inspiration

I was hiking down the coast line when I saw this fantastic landscape and the lighthouse at the end. It was impossible not to take the camera out and take this picture.

Editing

I developed the image in Lightroom and added in Photoshop some highlights and it got the final cut there.

In my camera bag

On a hike I usually have only my Canon EOS550D with me and my all-round lens 75-200m.

Feedback

The California coast has so many stunning places and sights to offer, but for me a day with not only sunshine makes the pictures more dramatic and impressing.
