Behind The Lens

Location

His photo was taken in my hometown of Chelsea, Michigan

Time

This was taken at 11:50pm

Lighting

Only lighting used in this photo are the street lights, and the passing Amtrak train

Equipment

Nikon D750, cheap sigma 18-300mm, tripod, gimbal head, wired remote trigger

Inspiration

I wanted to get a unique photo of my hometown with our iconic Clocktower and Jiffy mixes in the background and I just happened to be shooting when an Amtrak went shooting through at about 80mph less than 8 feet from me and my equipment.

Editing

Yes I did a little post-editing. Brought the colors up a bit and toned down the highlites for the face of the clock to be visable.

In my camera bag

Nikon D750 and D3300, sigma 50mm art, Tokina 11-16mm, Rokinon 14mm, sigma 150-500mm EX DG, sigma 105mm Macro.

Feedback

Be persistent. Play with your settings until you get s result you are happy with on the long exposures.
