Behind The Lens

Location

Great Wolf Lodge with my kids, this is my daughter who is 15. We were sat at a table and she had been looking at her phone and telling me what was going on at home and I said "hey" and she looked up at me and I snapped this photo of her.

Time

We had just finished lunch and it was near 1:30pm in the afternoon.

Lighting

We were sat beside the windows overlooking the outdoor waterpark area and felt the lighting was pretty awesome on her at this point. The sun was not in full glare it was an overcast day with some bursts of sun

Equipment

Only my Canon 70D with my 70-200 Lens

Inspiration

I love capturing my children wherever we go and as my daughter is getting older, opportunities to take pictures of her are getting harder to do as she just says "stop taking pictures of me" I know one day she will appreciate it, but at 15 I'm annoying .

Editing

This image is SOC except I cropped it in a bit. That is all I do. I prefer to post my images without editing them. I think I've seen so many images that seem over edited, that I prefer things as they are.

In my camera bag

My camera and a few lenses, my 70-200 is my go to lens, I have my 18-55mm and then 50mm

Feedback

Just keep clicking till you can capture moments. I prefer images that are candid and not so planned/posed. I just like to see life in the moment and not in the 15 minute poses
