Location
This image was taken at Franklin Mountains in El Paso, Texas at the Scenic Drive.Time
It was taken around 3:00 pm. That place is usually full of people but it was empty because it was a very cold day.Lighting
It was a cloudy day so the natural light was perfect!Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 60D with a wide angle 10-20mm lensInspiration
Beautiful skies always inspire me. The idea was to create an image featuring the cityscape to enter it at a different ViewBug competition. The sky was looking very beautiful so I decided to take a few images that included more of the sky, then I turned around and saw the contrast between the beautiful sky, the mountain and my children playing and I loved the simplicity of it. That little hill blocks the city behind it giving the illusion that we are in the middle of nowhere.Editing
Very minimal post-processing was done. Just to enhance the contrast and the colorIn my camera bag
I carry everywhere my EOS 60D, 75-300mm, 18-135mm, 50mm lens and extension tubes,Feedback
This is a simple image. It didn't require any special equipment or complex editing.
