I love this shot - really mysterious!

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at a ghost town close to Zion National Park.

Time

It was later in the day and we had been shooting for a couple hours. It was one of the last buildings that we explored and she walked inside to have a look around while I was still out side. Once I saw her through the window I know that was the shot I was looking for.

Lighting

It was a little cloudy so the lighting was good all throughout the day and worked great inside the buildings with reflective light.

Equipment

It was hand held using my Sony A77 and Tamron 17-55mm 2.8 lens.

Inspiration

Throughout the day was tried different shot inside and around all of the buildings. The building are what is left from a town that was in the area around the late 1800's. It is still one of my favorite places to shoot because of history of the buildings and the back drop of Zion that can be seen form the town.

Editing

I used light PS and LR to bring the colors back that I saw through the lens.

In my camera bag

I carry my Sony A77, Tamron 17-55mm 2.8, Minolta 70-300, Minolta 50mm and tripod.

Feedback

Always be looking and thinking outside of the box. Some of my favorite shots come when I'm least expecting it.
